We are looking for a passionate CMO to join us part-time on our journey as a key part of our startup team.

About the Role

As our Chief Marketing Officer, you’ll lead the charge in building Borro’s brand and customer base from the ground up. You’ll be responsible for shaping and executing our marketing strategy across digital, social, content, email, and community channels. This role is perfect for someone who’s excited to wear many hats, get hands-on, and help build something truly impactful from the start.

We’re a small, passionate team — and we’re offering a small salary with a generous equity package for the right person who believes in our mission and wants to grow with us.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and lead Borro’s overall marketing strategy and execution
  • Develop and manage campaigns across social media, email, SEO, and paid ads
  • Create compelling content and build an engaged community of like-minded parents
  • Help shape and tell Borro’s story to customers, partners, and press
  • Analyze performance metrics and iterate to drive growth and retention
  • Collaborate with our founder, marketing support, and operations team to ensure marketing and product align
  • Identify partnership and influencer opportunities that align with our brand values
  • Build out marketing processes, tools, and eventually a team as we scale

About You

  • You're creative, strategic, and data-driven — and you love testing and learning
  • You’ve got experience in early-stage startups or wearing multiple hats in marketing roles
  • You care deeply about sustainability, parenting, and purpose-led brands
  • You’re proactive, and thrive in fast-paced, resourceful environments
  • Bonus: experience in DTC, e-commerce, or subscription-based businesses

About Borro

This is an amazing opportunity to be instrumental in growing a start-up into a scale-up, backed by impact investors. You’ll be a key member of the startup team, working closely with the founder and marketing colleagues, so your work will have a direct impact on the business’s growth. You’ll have the chance to show off your talents in a fast-paced environment where your work will align with your personal values. We’re a friendly all-female team of seven which includes the founder, Marketing Manager, Marketing Consultant, COO, and three freelancers working on operations and social media. Everyone works remotely but our HQ is in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
